He attended grade school in Edmond, high school in Oklahoma City, and graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Construction Science. Many members of Kirk’s extended family have attended  either Oklahoma State University or The University of Oklahoma. Kirk is a member of the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association.
